It wasn't long until a 5 person team became two people carrying the load. One kid even showed up to our meetings with beer...in the end...we all got the same good grade. Oh well....

Re: The Internship Chronicles: Sharing is Caring | Part 1

I have to agree with Cheryl. It happens all the time and it happens both ways...Don't be surprised when you get thrown under the bus for a project that is failing either...

Continue to be a leader and lead the charge to get you and her a great internship. It doesn't go unnoticed that you led the effort...even if it isn't mentioned aloud.
Keep up the good work, Melissa. It was meant for just him and he did all the work to secure it, but it turned out to be too big for just one person. Now his two roommates are working on it as well. It seemed frustrating at first but the project did all end up needing more than one person.

Re: The Internship Chronicles: Decisions, decisions

I think an important thing to consider is if another commitment would affect the quality of work in other areas. It limits the opportunities for me to spend a good amount of time at the gym, and has resulted in me ordering lots of takeout and fast foods because there's simply no time to eat. Fortunately, Tyler connected me withe his buddy @yuntraining, who was able to provide me with some really useful advice on eating right on-the-go and getting the most out of short workout sessions. I've been feeling a lot healthier lately, even though I'm prone to deviatig from his advice every now and again :-)

Re: The Internship Chronicles: Mistakes Happen

I have definitely made my share of mistakes; but, then again, aren't internships supposed to be a learning experience?

Re: 30 Day Minimalist Challenge: Day 26

I am not a hoarder, I swear. But, I think important things are worth keeping. I am agree. Don t you let anyone to consume your lifespan and your health for his company' s next 10 years development strategy etc etc. You need that body in the future, ok? Sometimes you work hard to gain money but you loose your health and the money you spent would not pay the "deposit" (of your body)

Stay wise!
Re: The Non-Traditional Workout Plan

I'm big on working out and staying active, but I REALLY struggle with sticking to a schedule or routine.

I've tried before work (like 6 a.m.) and after work (it's just too busy) but just can't stick to anything. I'm getting ready to start a new job where the report time will be at 9 a.m. There is a gym that I'm a member of right across the street that I could hit before work. I could also hit it after work while I wait for rush hour traffic to die down.

One thing I have found is that early in the week is the most important time to hit the gym for me. Because if I skip an early day I'm more likely to skip the whole week.
